Protest at the Haywood County Courthouse

We need you on the streets

Why come to the weekly protests in front of the courthouse? Your participation shows discontent with the status quo and appeals to the “hearts and minds” of the wider public and undecided or uninformed community members. When you show up, you give visible proof that dissent is widespread and this encourages others who feel isolated to speak out. You are showing up to say that you will not accept or normalize controversial government actions, rollbacks of rights, or aggressive federal overreaches. Showing up gives our fellow protestors and bystanders hope! Courage is contagious! We are creating community and solidarity.

When we stick together, we make it harder for authoritarian regimes to prosper. In less than 80 days, the United States will vote in one of the most important elections in the history of this country. We need you to show up now more than ever so that people understand what is at stake and that they must use their votes at this crucial moment.
